Let Me Be the One by Bella Andre
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Vicky Bennett is a sculptor and in high school she saved Ryan Sullivan's life. They have been friends ever since. Ryan is a pro baseball player and has never been able to forget Vicki. When she moves back to San Francisco and he comes to the rescue, they are finally able to explore what they feel for one another...with a whole lot of internal conflict drama thrown in. and enjoy the This is volume 6 in the Sullivan's series and the one I have enjoyed the most to date.
The story formula for this books is the same as some of the others in the series. Girls needs saving, guy comes to save the day oozing testosterone left and right, internal conflict of them thinking the other wants different things, bang bang, happily ever after.
But I enjoyed this book nonetheless. There was no insta-love this time. Instead, these characters have loved each other since high school. But now they see each other again and they finally get together.
An with other Bella Andre's books, the conflict is mostly internal. Thankfully, this book has a better balance of internal and external conflict.
An overall enjoyable and uncomplicated read.
