Book Review: Can't Help Falling in Love by Bella Andre

Can't Help Falling in Love (The Sullivans, #3)Can't Help Falling in Love by Bella Andre
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I have read several of the Sullivan Series, once you have read two, you have read them all. There are two types: insta-love books and the pining for you for years book. And, when I say insta-love, it's a matter of a week.

In the insta-love category we find the great majority of the books. In the latter, we have Ryan and Sophie's story.

This book is in the insta-love category. This is the third book. This is the story of Gabe, a firefighter, and Megan, a widowed single mother. Gabe saves Megan and her daughter Summer from a fire. What proceeds is a story of matchmaking encounters and characters that say they just want to be friend but really, yearn for something more.

Bella Andre has interesting stories about the Sullivan family. Sadly, once you have read two, you have read them all. Although the stories ary slightly, the language and narration is pretty much the same. Bella Andre is a very tactile author: smells and tastes are very important. Someone is always tasting like 'very much ....or truly like (insert character here).'

Because her books are so formulaic, you are reading a very predictable book. Guy likes girl, girl likes boy...they fall in love in 1.8 seconds, insta-love equation ... mis-communication and the happy end.

The narration is repetitive (heavily), especially if you have read more than 2 of her books. The narration is not the best but it is a nice romance book for a quiet afternoon...with wine.
