Book Review: Fiancé by Friday by Catherine Bybee

Fiance by Friday (The Weekday Brides, #3)Fiance by Friday by Catherine Bybee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Catherine Bybee has made me an addict of her books. I have read all of the Weekday Bride Series. My favorite is still Wife by Wednesday but this one is also very good.

This book tells the story of Gwen Harrison (Duke Harrison's sister) and Neil MacBain (the Duke's bodyguard, security guy, and altogether dark hero). Gwen has moved to America and taken over Samantha Elliot's (from the first book) matchmaking business. She is head over heels for Neil MacBain, but he doesn't seem to want to step forward. Neil is, afterall, a very haunted man, with a lot of past guilt and dangerous enemies. He likes her, a lot, but he can't seem to move past his old demons. That is until danger comes knocking and threatens Gwen. He will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

The book was extremely enjoyable. There was nice pacing to the story and these characters didn't suffer from insta-love. They have known each other for a while after all, and have lusted after each other for just as long. They are referenced several times in the previous book, Married by Monday. The danger did seem a bit forced though ((view spoiler). Of the three books, this is by far the best (even though the first is my favorite). It had a little bit of everything. Romance, Sizzling Chemistry. Suspense. A bit of comedy. It was a joy to read this. Do me a favor and read this book!

I can't wait for Single by Saturday (Weekday Bride Series).
