Book Review: I Am Number Four

I Am Number Four

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

This was such a good book, I can't wait for the next one. The book is written by Pittacus Lore (a pseudonym for James Frey and Jobie Hughes).

John Smith is a 15 year old alien. His planet, Lorien was destroyed by the Mogadorians. Nine children, and their guardians, were sent to Earth in an attempt to safeguard them so they could come back to reclaim their planet. They will develop their Legacies, i.e. powers and then fight the Mogadorians. But, the Mogadorians are after them. The only thing is, they can only killed them in order. Three has been killed, it is now John's turn, Number Four. But, when in arrives in middle-of-nowhere Paradise, Ohio, he finds something he never has had. Friends. So, he will risk his life to retain that which he has gained.

This was such a great book. I could not put it down, it was physically impossible. I read it in a day. It is very well-written and has a great pace. It is full of action and suspense filled moments. This is a great book for teens and people of all ages. The characters are well developed, teenage angst and all.

This is a good book and I strongly recommend it. The only drawback is that the next book hasn't come out yet!
