Book review: The Genius Files

The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable

The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable by Dan Gutman

Coke and Pepsi McDonald are twins. One day coming home from school they realize someone is chasing and trying to kill them. That's when the adventure starts. Saved by a stranger who tells them that they are part of The Genius Files, a secret government program tasked with saving the world. The she tells them that jumping off a cliff is the only way to escape. So, on they go! Over and over again, Coke and Pepsi have to outwit their enemies, solve strange clues and try to keep it all from their clueless parents.

The book was interesting and had a great premise. But, I was actually a little bored. It wasn't as engaging as I would have liked it to be. I figured out the ending half-way through the book and the narration had me skipping ahead. A similar type of book but, more engaging is The Magnificent 12: The Call.
